Covid 19 Home Test Kit Demo: How to test corona at home with a kit of Rs 250? Step by step information

My lab Discovery Solutions Limited in Pune has developed a Rapid Antigen Test Kit at home (Covid 19 Home Test Kit)

Mumbai: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has approved the Coviself kit for Corona virus testing at home. With this decision, anyone can now bring a Rapid Antigen Test Kit (RAT) at home for just Rs 250 and do a covid test. The corona test report will be available in just 15 minutes. The ICMR, however, has advised not to test for no reason. 

My lab Discovery Solutions Limited, a Pune-based company, has developed a home-made Rapid Antigen Test Kit. The company advises people who are experiencing corona symptoms or who have been in contact with covid positive patients to use the kit. Individuals who pass the RAT test will be considered coronary. They do not need to be re-tested. So despite the symptoms (symptomatic) those whose corona test report is negative, the corona will be considered suspicious. They can do their own RT-PCR test.

How to use covid 19 kit at home? Learn the steps

According to the user manual of My lab Discovery Solutions Limited,

step 1:Insert the nasal swab into both nostrils 2 to 4 cm deep.

step 2:Then rotate the nasal swab five times in both nostrils.

step 3:Pour the swab into the already filled tube and break off the remaining swab.

step 4:Close the lid of the tube.

step 5:Press the tube on the test card and add one or two drops at a time.

step 6:Wait 15 minutes for the test report.

step 7:Results after 20 minutes will be considered invalid.

The test card will have two sections. One control, the other test section. If the bar is only on control section ‘C’, then the corona test report is negative. If the bar control is on both section ‘C’ and st section ‘T’, then the antigen test is positive.

What to do after the test?

This test kit will be available in the market in a week. It took us five months to make this product. We have priced it at Rs 250 per kg.

This includes taxes. The kit is designed to be easy to use and not generate organic waste. You can dispose of it in the safety bag that comes with the kit, said Hasmukh Rawal, MD, My lab Discovery Solutions Limited.

It will take 5 to 7 minutes for the test to come positive, while it will take a maximum of 15 minutes for the negative to come. The test kit pouch will include an already filled extraction tube, a nasal swab, a test card and a safety bag.

In addition, the test taker will need to download the My Lab coviself app to your phone. All people who test positive for corona have to take care of themselves following the rules of Home Isolation, ICMR and the Ministry of Health.
