Antigua: Indian businessman Mehul Choksi, who went missing from the Central American country of Antigua, has been arrested in neighboring Dominica. Arrangements are in progress to take him back to Antigua. He was arrested by Dominica's Criminal Investigation Department. Accused of PNB scam


Choksi and Nirav Modi have been accused of defrauding the Punjab National Bank (PNB) of Rs 13,500 crore by colluding with some bank officials. Nirav Modi is currently in London jail. The CBI is investigating the two. Mehul Choksi's assets worth over Rs 14 crore were seized by the Enforcement Directorate in the Punjab National Bank scam.

In addition, his criminal accomplice Nirav Modi was dealt a major blow by a United Kingdom (UK) court. The court refused to grant any concessions to Modi. The Westminster court had also clarified that there was necessary evidence to

convict Nirav Modi. Nirav Modi had conspired to destroy the evidence and intimidate the witnesses.
