Speaking on the lockdown, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said, "The lockdown has been extended till June 1. It is only four days since the decision was taken. Corona's condition has not been brought under control. After discussing all the issues, a decision will be taken to waive the curfew. "


"The number of patients with corona has decreased this month as compared to the previous month. But the number of patients in need of oxygen has not decreased. Given the danger of the third wave of corona, proper supply of oxygen is essential," the CM said.

Free Shivbhojan Thali till 14th June 2021

The 'Break the Chain' process is being implemented across the state to control the growing prevalence of corona in the state. During this period, free plate is being given under Shivbhojan Yojana from 15th April 2021 so that the poor people of the state do not suffer. 

This period has now been extended for another month and free meals will be available till June 14, 2021. The Food and Civil Supplies Department has issued a ruling in this regard. So far 48 lakh 44 thousand 709 citizens have availed the benefit of free Shivbhojan Thali.
 
Lockdown in the state until 7 a.m. June 1

The state had initially issued strict restrictions from April 22 to May 1 after Corona took over again. The restrictions were extended to May 15 due to the outbreak of the second wave of corona. Similarly, the government decided to increase the lockdown after seeing the positive effect of the lockdown in the state. Accordingly, restrictions are in force in the state till 7 am on June 1. Previously imposed restrictions have been retained and some new rules have been added.
